Using the RAL 555 Kit, sensitivity, reading and interpretation of the staining are similar to those of
standard stainings. Since it can be performed quickly, it is the best staining way for emergency diagnosis.
Packaging and formulation have been optimized for user-friendliness and safety.
RAL 555 Kit is the best rapid version of May-Grünwald Giemsa staining.
· The new RAL 555 Kit is very easy to use since it consists in successive baths by directly immersing the glass slide into the vials.
· The new color of the containers results in an enhanced visibility and in a more rapid identification of the various solutions.
· The new vials with broader necks make it easier to insert the glass slides.
· The kit packaging should not be discarded as it serves as a test tube rack.
Recommended Staining Times -
Haematology:
Blood smears - 15 seconds
Bone marrow smears - 3 minutes
Cyto-bacteriology:
Liquid Cytologic investigation
(Needle punctures, urine) - 15 seconds
Parasitology:
Plasmodium detection test - 1minute and 4 seconds
